Marriage

Life Comments Off on Marriage

Last evening I was asked my thoughts on marriage; a fairly broad question to be certain. But I did have an answer.

Before I give that answer…

A couple years ago, like most I thought to have a successful marriage you needed to be able to compromise. Not be selfish and always meet your spouse half way. But that thought has changed. I purchased a devotional called “Extreme Devotion” that within the first few pages had completely changed it.

My answer is now…

“Relationships that are not ready to sacrifice for the sake of commitment do not last. Compromise takes a steady toll and weakens the desire and ability to be committed.”

Sadly though, not everything turned out as hoped and I wish I could change two things, but I’m hopelessly optimistic that by year’s end, they may even work themselves out. All I can do at the moment is hold them up to the Lord.

Heart and Energy – Conclusion

Romance Comments Off on Heart and Energy – Conclusion

Today, I read through this blog series and I feel it’s time to draw it to a close. I decided this mainly because things are completely different from the initial post. It’s hard to believe that barely two weeks have since past and how this has completely morphed into something completely underserved and unexpectedly exciting. The only thing that remains the same; is will the end I fear, be near or in the first time in my life will it be different?
